Classic Car Hire - Hiring a vintage car is one of the most delightful ways of touring this hidden corner of Scotland, with its quiet roads and ever changing countryside, from the Southern uplands through Dumfriesshire and Galloway down to the dramatic Solway coast.

Whichever vintage car you hire from the heart stopping classic drive of the Jaguar E-type to the more sedate but wildly romantic and no less challenging drive of the pre-war Austin. we have a car to suite any taste and ability. And we provide a carefully chosen route map to go with the car.

Falconry Experience - One of the most wonderful ways to explore the gardens, grounds and stunning countryside around the hotel is in the company of these wonderful birds of prey on one of our falconry experience courses. From Barny the barn owl to Jess the magnificent golden eagle also JD the harris hawk, Odoe the european eagle owl and Storm the saker falcon.

Land Rover Safari - Why not join the Buccleuch ranger service on a journey from the delightful river Nith to the rugged beauty of the high tops of the Lowther hills, enjoying a wildlife spectacle along the way. Our woodlands are diverse with specimen trees from around the world and fine examples of native semi-natural woodland which supports a large variety of wildlife. Red squirrels, otters and an interesting array of birdlife including pied flycatchers, woodpeckers and owls are regularly spotted on our trips.
